A Christmas Time program

Christmas Trees

A little Christmas magic for every home.

Why this program exists

A Christmas tree can mean something different to everyone.

Christmas Trees is for anyone who needs a tree, regardless of age, income, family size or living situation.

Maybe purchasing a tree is difficult this year. Maybe you've moved from a larger home into an apartment or assisted living and only have room for a smaller tree. Maybe you're starting over somewhere new. Whatever the reason, if a 4-foot Christmas tree would help bring a little Christmas magic into your home, we want you to reach out.

If you need a tree and we have one, we'd like you to have one.

How Tree Giving began

A program close to Jen's heart.

Christmas Time planning committee member Jen brought the idea for Tree Giving to Christmas Time after seeing a similar program in a community where she previously lived. That program shared full-size Christmas trees with people who needed them, and the idea stayed close to her heart.

Jen wanted Christmas Time to create something with that same spirit of generosity, while making the trees practical for more living situations. She adapted the idea to use 4-foot pre-lit trees that can work in houses, apartments, smaller rooms, senior living and assisted-living spaces.

Today, Jen leads the Tree Giving program for Christmas Time, coordinating the trees and helping connect them with people who would like a little more Christmas magic in their home.

One idea, adapted for our community

The heart of the program has stayed simple from the beginning: a Christmas tree should be something that brings joy, not something a person has to prove they deserve.

No income qualifications. No complicated application. Just neighbors helping neighbors celebrate Christmas.

Sponsor a Christmas Tree

Choose how you'd like to be part of the program.

Christmas Time purchases all of the trees. Each is a 4-foot pre-lit artificial tree, available in green or white. Your sponsorship helps keep the program going as trees find new homes.

  • You may even add gift cards if you'd like.
  • Your name, family, business or organization can be recognized — or your sponsorship can remain private.

A program designed to keep giving

Tree sponsorships help replenish the program.

Christmas Trees is designed to be largely self-funding. Sponsorship money from the program is tracked separately and used to purchase replacement trees and decorating supplies.

When a decorated tree finds a new home, those funds help us replace it so another tree can be decorated, displayed and eventually shared in the future.

In 2025, four Christmas Time trees found new homes. With continued community support, we hope to keep growing that number.

The trees become part of Christmas Time

Sponsored trees help create the winter wonderland before finding new homes.

During Christmas Time, the sponsored 4-foot trees become part of the decorations at The Mill. Afterward, trees can continue spreading Christmas joy in the homes of people who need one.

Need a Christmas Tree?

You're welcome here.

Christmas Trees may be available beginning just after Halloween and continuing through Christmas.

This program is for people of any age and any living situation. You do not need to have children, own a home, or meet an income requirement. A tree may be helpful because of finances, space, a move, assisted living, a new apartment, or simply because you need one this Christmas.

No income verification. No application. No need to explain or prove your circumstances. We simply ask that the trees go to people who genuinely need one.

If only one color is available, we'll let you know. We'll always do our best to make your Christmas wish come true.

Your request will be handled privately and respectfully. Christmas Time does not publish the names of people who receive trees.

When a tree finds a new home

A simple message goes with every tree.

We want the tree to arrive as a gift from the community, not as paperwork or a program requirement. Each tree can include a small Christmas Time card with a message of welcome and Christmas joy.

This tree was given with love by Christmas Time and our community.

We hope it brings a little extra Christmas magic to your home and becomes part of the memories you make this Christmas.

Merry Christmas!
